Leaving no trace

A good traveler leaves no trace, packing it in and packing it out. In most cases, they leave each place better than they found it; picking up trash and taking steps to care for their local environment.

A simple concept; but one that has helped to maintain our planet's existance.

Unfortunately, when it comes to our daily lives ... this concept has become irrelevant. We consume and gloat our existance through excess, instead of focusing on what is essential and creating a positive impact through our actions.

In fact, our short term desires have long term impacts. The average american throws away 7 pounds of trash a day. Thats more than 100 tons in a lifetime.

When we focus on things, all we will leave behind is garbage. But if we focus on creating, we can leave the world a better place than we found it.
